John L. Stanko, Certified Fire Investigator

John served over 32 years as a career fire fighter, and has more than 41 years of experience as a fire investigator.  He has conducted both criminal and civil fire investigations, and has courtroom experience testifying as an expert in fire origin and cause.  John holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Bradley University and an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Fire Science Technology from Illinois Central College.  He also attended the ATF National Academy in Glynco, Ga.  John is a Certified Fire Investigator (CFI) by the International Association of Arson Investigators as well as a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI) by the National Association of Fire Investigators.  In addition, he is certified as both an Arson Investigator and Fire Investigator by the Office of the Illinois State Fire Marshal.
