James Johnson, Certified Fire Investigator

Jim served over 23 years as a career fire fighter, and has more than 7 years of experience as a fire investigator. He has conducted both criminal and civil fire investigations, and has courtroom experience testifying as an expert in fire origin and cause. Jim holds a Master of Science Degree in Occupational Safety Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Emergency Services from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Jim is a Certified Fire Investigator (CFI) by the International Association of Arson Investigators. In addition, he is certified as both an Arson Investigator and Fire Investigator by the Office of the Illinois State Fire Marshal. He is a Hazardous Materials Specialist and is an Advanced Fire Prevention Officer with the Office of the Illinois State Fire Marshal.
